Woman held over Aruka gun find

Police said a woman is currently assisting with investigations into a recent discovery of an improvised shotgun in Aruka Village, North West District.

A police press release said that acting on information received, ranks of the ‘E and F’ Division executed a search on the home of a woman at Aruka Village, North West District and found one improvised shotgun and one each spent 12,16 and 20 gauge cartridges. This was about 8.30 pm on Wednesday last.

According to the release, a female suspect has been taken into custody and is assisting with the investigations.
