Woman found stabbed to death on D’Urban St

A woman was discovered murdered in her D’Urban Street home this morning and it is suspected that she was stabbed to death during an argument with her reputed husband. Police are still looking for the man who has since disappeared.
The dead woman’s name was given as Donna Thomas who is originally from Berbice.
Stabroek News was informed that around 8.45 am some employees from the Professional Guard Service where she once worked decided to visit her at home.
When they arrived they noticed the door ajar and on looking inside they found the woman lying face down on her bed in a pool of blood.
Her body bore numerous stab wounds.
This newspaper understands that the woman was recently very sick with the flu. Yesterday she received her salary from another security firm where she was employed.
Reports are that her reputed husband wanted money to buy alcohol which resulted in an argument.
It is believed that it was then Thomas was attacked and stabbed.
