Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS marks fourth year

At the ceremony, Chairperson David Bhola noted that over 1,000 employees were engaged in training and educational sessions that discussed matters pertaining to general health in the workplace and the community.

The GBCHA is a non- profit organisation aimed at mobilising and assisting the private sector in its response to HIV/AIDS in the workplace and beyond, by facilitating technical assistance as well as helping organizations identify and apply their core competencies, products, services, and resources in response to HIV/AIDS.

The Guyana Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GBCHA) celebrated its fourth anniversary on Wednesday May 30, with a renewed commitment to fulfil its mandate, at a simple ceremony hosted at its Orange Walk office.

The GBCHA engages the private sector through the workplace, core competency, community and advocacy and leadership.

It also offers training of peer educators, awareness secessions, HIV testing and the facilitation of partnership among member companies and agencies.
