Lindener shot in protest improving

Ulric Michael, one of the Linden protestors shot and wounded by the police during protest action, has been transferred from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Georgetown Public Hospital to the High Dependency Unit (HDU) and is said to be in a better condition.

Michael was air-dashed to the city in an unconscious state on July 24 on a GDF helicopter after his condition took a turn for the worse.

Stabroek News was told by GPH sources that Michael, 33 years old, of 23 Canvas City is doing “much better”. Following the incident, he had been admitted a patient of the Intensive Care Unit of the Linden Hospital Complex with gunshot wounds to the chest.
