Georgetown Chamber ready to aid Region 10 Economic Committee

The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) says it is in support of the initiative to establish an Economic Committee to develop Linden.

In a press release yesterday, the GCCI said that it “stands ready to assist this Committee in meeting its laudable objectives.”

Meanwhile, the Chamber also expressed  satisfaction at the ongoing developments surrounding the community of Region 10, Linden.

“We are particularly gratified with the conclusion of the talks between government and the Region 10 stakeholders, which resulted in an extensive agreement accepted by the negotiating stakeholders,” the GCCI declared.

The GCCI said further that it anticipates cooperation by all the parties involved in ensuring the full implementation of the terms of the agreement.

The Chamber also anticipates “the expeditious conclusion to the Commission of Inquiry into the July 18 shooting of the three protestors so that redress and justice is delivered.”

Finally, the Chamber noted that it is looking forward to the return to the customary environment of peace and tranquillity in Linden and the rebuilding of the region’s burnt out and damaged infrastructure.
