The driver of a motor car was yesterday arrested and is assisting police with investigations after a motorcyclist collided with him and died on the Mahaicony public road.
Dead is Ivan Ephard, 24, of Cottage, Mahaicony who succumbed at the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital while receiving treatment, police said in a statement yesterday.
According to the police, investigations revealed that Ephard was driving his motorcycle when it is alleged that he attempted to overtake a motor car on the inside, and collided with the vehicle which was turning at the same time.
As a result of the collision he lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown off, hitting himself on a parked fork-lift, police added.
