Retired teachers will soon be back in the education system after a formal appointment was made on Tuesday, Assistant Chief Education Officer for Secondary Schools, Doodmatie Singh said.
The appointments will be effective from October 1, and those teachers will be placed at various schools across the country to administer special needs education, the Government Information Agency (GINA) said in a press release.
A five-year strategy is also being crafted by the Education Ministry to cater for students with special needs so as to ensure that their needs are catered for, Education Mnister, Priya Manickchand was quoted as saying.
