A man was yesterday found with 864 grammes of marijuana hidden in plucked chickens and other foodstuff.
Police in a press release stated that at around 7 am yesterday, police narcotics ranks at the Ogle Airport, East Coast Demerara conducted a search on the baggage of a man booked for an internal flight to Ekereku in Guyana’s interiors.
There they found the drug concealed in a quantity of plucked chicken and foodstuff.
Police say the man is in their custody and will be charged shortly.
