At about 0555h on Wednesday, police said that Ehwass Baksh, 32 years, of 2-3 Adventure, Essequibo Coast, reported that person (s) unknown broke into the home of Astabuddin Ahmad, of 36, Adventure, Essequibo Coast.
Investigations revealed that Baksh is the caretaker and Ahmad is presently overseas. During the date and time mentioned he went to check on the house and discovered the door prised open, the police said in a press release.
The following articles were missing: one .32 Taurus revolver, an undisclosed amount of foreign currency and a quantity of jewellery.
Investigations are continuing.
