Police today said that Salim Bacchus called ‘Black Salim’ who was wanted for questioning by the police in relation to the murder of a cop turned himself in accompanied by his lawyer Ramesh Rajkumar.
Bacchus was wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Police Constable 20682 Jirbahan Dianand on September 14, 2012.
Salim is in police custody assisting with the investigations, police said. In recent months, the police have come under severe criticism for putting out wanted bulletins for persons in high-profile murder cases and then releasing them.
