Carpenter dies in Cornelia Ida crash

An accident which occurred around 2 am yesterday led to the death of 29 year old Shridat Haley of Tuschen.

Haley was a carpenter and operated a nut stand near the Bakewell Stand on the East Bank of Demerara.

According to the man’s friend, Haley was making his way home after concluding business at his stand when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a parked truck in Cornelia Ida, West Demerara.

He further said that after the man failed to return home his wife began to call his phone to ascertain his whereabouts. The friend stated that the woman never found out about her husband’s demise until about 3 pm yesterday.
