Gov’t donates $5M more to Salvation Army

Minister of Finance Dr. Ashni Singh last evening presented a $5M cheque to the Salvation Army’s Guyana Division at the institution’s reunion of past and present clients, the Government Information Agency (GINA) said. The donation is similar to an amount that was disbursed earlier this year. GINA added that recognising the positive impact that its rehabilitative programmes has been yielding, the government has now increased its annual contribution to the organisation to $10M.
