Alligators living in Bartica dumpsite

Dear Editor,

Recently a letter was published in SN by me about the reckless dumping of garbage on the public road at Byderabo, Bartica. A kind-hearted miner took his brand new excavator and removed all the garbage to the dumpsite. The residents of Byderabo are fed up and afraid that a serious epidemic may break out there.

There are also big alligators living in the dumpsite that usually cross over the roads and destroy poultry; they could also attack children, dogs, etc, in Byderabo. The residents have dispatched signed letters to the relevant authorities to protest about the person who collects garbage with a truck for a fee, and who dumps on the public road. They are calling for this careless and reckless behaviour to stop.

Yours faithfully,
