Dear Editor,

A few nights ago I saw the publication on NCN TV of some thirteen proposed one-way streets. It was not possible for me to remember most of them, and I am asking that they be published in all the newspapers.

Another concern is the markings in yellow paint at the beginning and end of these one-way streets.

Would it be possible for users of the road, especially motorists, to have some forewarning, say a corner away, with an upright sign. Also could there be ‘No left (or right) turn‘ signs placed at each intersecting street, ie, those which run perpendicular to the one-way streets. At the moment to access the Campbellville one-way streets from Sheriff Street I travel very slowly looking to see which way the cars are parked.

Recently I was going from Charlotte Street westward across the Avenue of the Republic when some taxi drivers shouted, “One way.“

Let‘s all co-operate for the benefit of all road users.

Yours faithfully,
(Name and address provided)
