Tucville ground to get water upgrade via Fruta Conquerors, Prudential

Fruta Conquerors FC has collaborated with Prudential Industrial Technologies to upgrade the water supply at the Tucville ground as the club prepares to host its annual NAMILCO Football Festival from January 29 to February 19.

The company, located at Water and New Market streets, acceded to the club’s request and sourced the state-of-the-art water pressure system, which will be fitted and installed by Prudential.

Wayne Forde, CEO of Prudential Industrial Technology and manager of Oasis Water company, pledged that water will be supplied to teams in the tournament.

In brief remarks Forde praised the Fruta Conquerors football club for its steady progress and its ability to retain sponsorship and support, while continuing the NAMILCO Football Festival and developing the Tucville Community Centre ground at the same time.

He said his companies Prudential Industrial Technology and Oasis are pleased to lend support to community development in this form.

Candia Shepherd, Treasurer of Fruta Conquerors, thanked Forde for his continued support to the club over the years and promised to ensure continued development, accountability and protection of the facilities on the ground with the help of executives, players, sponsors and members of the Tucville community.

Meanwhile, 16 of the country’s top teams will take part in this year’s tournament which carries a first prize of $1M. The second place team will receive $500,000 and a trophy while the third and fourth places will pocket $200,000 and a trophy and $100,000 respectively.

In addition, individual prizes will be awarded to the MVP, the Highest Goal Scorer, and the most disciplined team.
