J/ca make strong reply against Guyana

An unbeaten century from discarded West Indies middle order batsman Brendan Nash paced defending champions Jamaica to 339 for the loss of five wickets at press time replying to Guyana’s first innings score of 294.

Nash was unbeaten on 141 while wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh was not out on 20.

Leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo and left-arm orthodox spinner, Veerasammy Permaul, have so far picked up two wickets each with medium pacer Assad Fudadin claiming the other wicket to fall.

In Guyana’s first innings score of 294, Narsingh Deonarine topscored with 89 while left-hander Leon Johnson made 72.

Leg spinner Odean Brown bagged 6-100 and Nikita Miller 2-56.

And the Combined Campuses and Colleges team were six runs for one wicket batting a second time.

The Combined Campuses and Colleges team scored 145 in their first innings replaying to Barbados’ 237.

Barbados declared their second innings at 238-4.

Meanwhile, the Windward Islands, following on to Trinidad and Tobago by 161 runs, were 232/9 in their second innings after being dismissed for 203 in their first innings.

Trinidad declared their first innings on 364 -9 of which Trinidad skipper Denesh Ramdin scored 151.
