Equipment handed over to four schools for Scotia Pepsi football tourney

New Campbellville Secondary, Central High School, Charlestown Secondary and St. Stanislaus College were presented with football equipment as they for the Scotia-Pepsi Schools football tournament this weekend.

The presentation took place yesterday at the Ministry of Education Sports Complex on Carifesta Avenue and was attended by organizers and sponsors of the tournament.

Also present were Trinidad Football Instructor Rajesh Latchoo and United States-based Coordinator Stan Harmon whoare conducting a two-day Coaches Course at the same venue.

Marketing Manager of Scotia Bank Jennifer Cipriani and Alexis Langhorne, Brand Manager of Demerara Distillers Limited hand over the equipment simultaneously to the recipients.

Marketing Manager of Scotia Bank Jennifer Cipriani and Alexis Langhorne, Brand Manager of Demerara Distillers Ltd. (DDL) made the presentations to the schools.

It was disclosed that Charlestown Secondary received sponsorship from their alumni association while the other three schools received assistance from the Guyana Sports Development Foundation of the United States.

The equipment include uniforms, boots, first aid kit, balls and shin guards.

The four schools will join  North Georgetown Secondary, Tucville Secondary, Queen’s College, Christ Church, Tutorial High, East Ruimveldt Secondary, St. George’s Secondary and St. Joseph’s High School last year’s participants in this year’s tournament set for Saturday opening at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground starting at 10:00 hours.

Two matches featuring male and female players will follow the opening ceremony.
