The Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) will commence its pre-season training session for all first, second division and junior players in preparation for their advancement to the inter-county and regional levels from today a press release from the organization stated.
According to the release, special sessions will be held for the Under-15 players in preparation for the Brain Street Tournament tomorrow from 4:30pm.
The training sessions will be conducted by former national off spinner and current Coach Garvin `Tibbsy’ Nedd.
The sessions form part of the series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the club, the release added.
The aim of the pre-season training is to “enhance the fitness, knowledge and the performance of the players on and off the field as DCC seeks to maintain its status as one of the leading cricket clubs in Guyana,”stated the release.
