Morgan gets donation from Colours Boutique

Last Saturday, local distance queen Alika Morgan received a pair of long distance running shoes from Colors Shoe store on Robb Street.

Supervisor of Colours Boutique, Felicia Harlow, presented the pair of New Balance shoes to Morgan and stated that it was a small gesture to the distance queen for her accomplishments on the track.

According to Morgan’s coach, Leslie Black, Colours has been following Morgan’s career and is interested in doing more for athletics in Guyana.

CARIFTA Games representative Samuel Kaitan of Region Nine was also in receipt of a similar type of shoe last week before flying to Bermuda where he placed fifth in the 5000 metres at the CARIFTA Games.

Morgan said she was delighted by the gesture shown by Colours and promised to do her best to improve her times as the year progresses.
