Pollard fails as Mumbai flops

MUMBAI, India,  CMC – There were no fireworks from West Indies batsman Kieron Pollard as his Mumbai Indians crashed to a disappointing seven-wicket lost to Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League here  yesterday.

Pollard managed just one from three balls before trying to slice a delivery over the top and falling to a catch by Ross Taylor at cover off seamer Umesh Yadav at 38 for four in the ninth over.

All-rounder Harbhajan Singh top-scored with 33 while Rohit Sharma got 29, to be the only batsmen in double figures as Mumbai were dismissed for 92 with four balls left in the innings.

Delhi were then lifted by opener Virender Sehwag’s 32 as they reached their target in the 15th over.
