Sarwan suffers double failure as Leicestershire flop

SCARBOROUGH, England,  CMC – In-form Leicestershire batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan suffered a double failure as the visitors were forced to follow on to Yorkshire on the third day of their County Championship game here Friday.

Sarwan, who stroked a century last month against Derbyshire, fell for 11 in Leicestershire’s first innings of 116, as seamer Anthony McGrath took four for 21 to hand Yorkshire a 331-run lead.

Batting a second time, Leicestershire finished the day on 102 for three, still 229 runs adrift of making Yorkshire bat again.
Sarwan was the third wicket to fall as Leicestershire crashed to 14 for three, before Matthew Boyce, 46 not out, and Joshua Cobb, 45 not out, propped up the innings with an unbroken, 88-run fourth wicket partnership.

Fast bowler Steven Patterson picked up all three wickets for 27 runs.
