Trinidadian sponsors track suits for Running Brave Athletic Club

Running Brave Athletic Club members will now be decked out in their new colors of gold and blue after receiving a supply of Rossi track suits last Monday in the National Park from an admirer of the club Mervin Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, a Trinidad national and former athlete, explained that he admires the club’s discipline in carrying out its  training programmes.

“As a former national athlete and as somebody who still has admiration for the sport, I just admire their discipline… it’s all about youth development and it’s just an incentive for the club to really work hard and so they can know that people are interested in them,” Rodriguez said.

Running Brave in the last two years has made quite a name for itself by producing probably the strongest female team while attaining the level to give the Police Sports Club and the Guyana Defence Force a run for their money.

President of the club Aubrey Hutson, who was present at the presentation ceremony, thanked Rodriguez for his kind gesture towards the rising club. “Well it’s a timely gesture because we were just looking to put together new uniforms. He (Rodriguez) is a normal everyday jogger in the park and for him to admire our discipline is good for our club and we thank him for the gesture,” Hutson commented.
