Trophy Stall volleyball tourney in B/ce Sunday

The Berbice Volleyball association will stage the second annual Trophy Stall competition for teams in Berbice on Sunday from 10am at the GTM hard-court in New Amsterdam .   The competition, which will be played on a round-robin basis, is expected to attract the following teams – GTC/PM 1 and 2, Port Mourant Jaguars, Albion United, Falcons of Reliance, Eaglets of Canje, Three door Strikers of d’ Edward and Rollers of New Amsterdam. A high standard of Volleyball is anticipated as players will be vying for selection to the BVA senior team, a release  from the Berbice Volleyball Association stated.

Trophies will be presented to the top three teams while trophies and medals will be up for grabs for outstanding performances – Most Valuable Player, Best Setter, Best Spikier, Best Blocker, Best Server, Best Defence and Best Libero.

All of the trophies and prizes have been donated by the Trophy Stall of Bourda Market and, according to the release, the BVA stated that it was  very grateful for the support given by  Ramesh Sunich of Trophy Stall for the promotion and development of volleyball in Berbice.
