NCBL match postponed

The much anticipated semifinal match-up between Western Union Plaisance/Vryheids Lust and Wismar in the National Community Basketball League (NCBL) which was schedule for today will have to wait a little longer as the game was postponed.

The postponement according to national basketball coach Bobby Cadogan who is also one of the organizers, was due to the fact that they do not want the league to class with the international segment of the Guinness in the Streets Football tournament which climaxes tonight.

Meanwhile, anxiety is sure to rise among the players of both teams since  Plaisance/Vryheids Lust has never made it to a final of a basketball tournament while Wismar will be looking to prove their young guns can topple over any opposition.

Both Plaisance/Vryheids Lust and Wismar have only lost one game each in the tournament to date and can possibly turn into one of the best or the best game of the tournament since both sides are evenly matched.

Meanwhile according to Cadogan while the new date is not set for the semifinal, he assured Stabroek Sport the game will tip off after next weekend which will be the All-Star weekend for the league.
