Club member Les Romahlo played an important role in arranging the contract between Lynch and the GCC.

To date, Lynch, 54, has executed a summer camp with 40 players of various age groups.

According to a press release, “the executive members of GCC, the oldest cricket club in the Caribbean, have seen a new spirit and attitude towards the sport and will continue to take measures necessary to advance cricket, and other sporting activities in Guyana.”

According to the release, an indoor practice area will soon be opened near the Kenny Wishart stand and an all-weather surface will be put in place to accommodate tennis and hockey, in the area that once housed the Clive Lloyd stand.

GCC also recently acquired a bowling machine, which was donated by former Guyana Batsman, Timur Mohamed.
