Some seven second division matches will take place this weekend as the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) New Building Society (NBS) limited overs competition continues at various ground in the city.

Today, there will be two games in Zone A and three in Zone B while tomorrow there will be two Zone B matches.

In Zone A Everest Cricket Club (ECC) will look to end the winning streak of hosts GCC while extending their own run of good form while the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC)  who recently lost to Everest, will fancy their chances against the Vikings.

In Zone `B’ the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) will aim to continue their impressive run of form against Police Sports Club who gained full points when Malteenoes Sports Club failed to turn up last weekend. At the Gandhi Youth Organization (GYO) ground, Malteenoes Sports Club will be aiming to make up for giving a walk over against Police when they oppose Transport Sports Club  while at MYO, the home team will look to break the University of Guyana’s run of victories.

Tomorrow, the DCC will take on the University of Guyana at the small GYO ground and Transport Sports Club will face off with the Police Sports Club at the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) ground, Thomas Lands.  All games commence at 11 a.m. and all teams will be aiming for full points as the league phase of this competition draws to a close since only the top two teams from each zone will progress to the semi finals.
