Davis is Mr. Guyana

Central American and Caribbean gold medalist, Devon Davis was crowned Mr. Guyana on Saturday at the Senior Championship organised by the Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GABBFF)at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Davis, a member of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) was a crowd pleaser at the ‘Rise of the Machines’ championships.

He produced near perfect displays to capture the bantamweight title ahead of Melroy Grant and Yogeshwar Nirdal who were second and third respectively. Other winners on Saturday were Clint Duke, Anthony Rogers, Rudolph Blackman, Andel Cameron and Alfred London.

Duke, who represented the Total Fitness Gym, won the light middleweight title from Delon Harlequin and William Ward in that order.
Rogers defeated Alston Lancaster and Alfred London to take home lightweight title.

Blackman won the welterweight title while Selwyn Grogan and Sherman Haynes finished second and third respectively.

In the remaining two categories Andel Cameron won the heavyweight title ahead of Michael De Santos and Al Dowding while London won the Masters over-40 title.

In the female category sixth place CAC title holder Alisha Fortune won the Miss Body Fitness and Miss Open Fitness. She finished ahead of Nadina Taharally.
