Citizen’s Bank 18th anniversary golf tourney set to tee off Saturday

One week after the gruelling Guyana Open two-day Golf tournament the local players will be back in action on Saturday in the third Annual Players Championships sponsored by Citizens Bank Guyana Inc., at the Lusignan Golf Course.

Most of the players who participated in the Guyana Open will be in action in the tournament which forms part of Citizen’s Bank 18th anniversary celebrations.

The bank’s chairman, Clifford Reis, an ardent golfer, will be in action in what is expected to be a highly competitive tournament.

It is unclear whether last year’s winner Andre Cummings will be returning to defend his title or whether the inaugural winner Mohanlall Dinnauth will be in action.
