Mayor Green’s 78th birth anniversary competition culminates on Friday, at the Den Amstel Centre Ground.
Coordinator of the tournament, Lennox Arthur said the quarterfinals, semi-finals and the final will all be played on Friday. Each game lasts 30 minutes.
The first of the quarterfinal matches pits Stewartville against Alberttown followed by Goed Fortuin versus Newtown, Kitty, Uitvlugt will take on Grove followed by host Den Amstel entertaining Kingston. Kick off time is 8 pm.
Preceding the quarterfinals is an exhibition match between Sara Lodge and Pouderoyen at 5 pm, while Crane will tackle Police at 11 pm in the second exhibition match before the final.
The Mayor’s Cup tournament according to Arthur is the last major tournament before the Banks Beer/GFA and Kashif and Shanghai knock out stages begins.
