Western Tigers confident of K&S title

Western Tigers are confident of winning the Kashif and Shanghai football title, their coach Calvin Alleyne declared yesterday.

During an interview with Stabroek Sport, the confident coach stated his team’s mission and said that they will be pulling out all the stops to be champions come New Year’s Day. He said that he could not be more satisfied with the way team preparations have been progressing and that his charges have a great chance of going all the way.

Cognizant of the competitive nature of the tournament, he stated that his team will be a force to be reckoned with come kick-off time. Playing its own brand of attractive football that is sure to please the purists, the team has seen a resurgence both on and off the field and that is clearly evident in their recent competitive record.

He further stated that “every tournament I enter the aim is to win. If we play to our strengths, execute our plans and play our brand of football we can beat anyone. Our team is a mixture of youth and experience and is technically, tactically and physically ready to accomplish our mission”.
Western Tigers FC kick off their campaign at the GFC ground on December  21st against Grove HI-Tech at 6:30pm.
