Their plans for Mashramani Day

With Mashramani Day approaching, we asked children and young people what their plans were. Their comments follow:

I plan to go out because it is a new year and the other reason is because I did not go out last year. The floats are usually fascinating and very colourful and it is really nice to see the amazing costumes and dance to some Guyanese soca.’

20130218ronaldoRonaldo De Abreu – Green Acres Primary: ‘Well this year I plan on sitting down and watch the floats as they go by. I would usually come out every year with my mom and cousins. It is so much fun to see the children mashing to the music in the children’s costume parade. I would like to encourage everyone to come out.’
