Jamaica police kill three men

(Jamaica Observer) KINGSTON, Jamaica – Three men were shot and killed by the police along Acadia Drive in St Andrew mid-morning Saturday.

Reports are that the men were travelling in a motorcar when they were stopped by the police. What led to the shooting is unclear.

The men were then taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Residents of nearby inner city community of Grants Pen identified the men by aliases Ratty, Garper and Matthew. Ratty and Garper are said to be residents from the community while Matthew is from another St Andrew community.

INDECOM has launched an investigation into the incident.
