(Trinidad Express) Baby Persia Meleigh Lee Foon-Cummings, the last of the sextuplets still warded at the Mount Hope Women’s Hospital, died Tuesday night.
Dr Shehenaz Mohammed, chairman of the North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) confirmed that parents Petra Lee Foon and Kieron Cummings were at the baby’s bedside when she passed away.
Tiny Persia Meleigh was the third sextuplet baby to die. Three others – two girls and a boy – were discharged from hospital and are being cared for by their parents.
Mohammed said, “I received information that the baby died last night, the mummy and daddy were there with the doctors at the hospital.”
Mohammed said the baby’s condition “never really” improved and her parents were advised a week ago.
