Police in more community raids, six held

The police conducted an early morning raid today, in the areas of East and West Ruimveldt and East La Penitence, Georgetown, during which ten buildings were cordoned and searched.

A release from the police said that one flat screen TV, one Lap Top computer, seven DVD players, one Play Station, and a motorcycle, which are suspected to be stolen or unlawfully obtained, have been seized by the police.  In addition, a nipper and a pair of military boots were found by the police.

Six men have been arrested and are in custody pending investigations into armed robbery and break and enter and larceny, police said.
