Cabinet okays three diplomatic appointments

Head of the Presidential Secretariat (HPS) Dr Roger Luncheon announced that Cabinet has green-lighted several diplomatic appointments, at his post-Cabinet press briefing held at the Office of the President on Wednesday.

Luncheon announced the appointment of Victor Chan as the Honorary Consul of Guyana to Hong Kong, the special administrative region of the People’s Republic of China, a GINA report said.

Cabinet also approved the appointment of Aud Marit Wiig as the Non-Resident Ambassador, Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Guyana. Wiig will be resident in Brasilia. The appointment of Luis Alberto Martino as Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina to Guyana has also been given the go-ahead.
