Four remain in custody over ganja in cars

Three women and a man remained up to yesterday in police custody after a cordon and search operation on Norton Street on Saturday found 172 pounds of compressed marijuana in the trunks of three motor vehicles at their residence.

According to a police source, during the pre dawn hours of Saturday, police acting on a tip, searched the Norton Street residence and the cars parked at the front of the yard.

The drugs were found in packages concealed in the trunks of three sports cars.
The source said that the man in custody is the owner of the business entity.
The motor vehicles have been seized by the police.
