Police Sergeant Alexis David-Hosannah told the court that police ranks were on patrol duty when they observed Thomas acting in a suspicious manner. She said that when the police searched him they found a bag that contained cannabis hidden in his crotch. As a result, he was arrested.

Thomas told the court that a friend had given him the bag to hold and that he was unaware of what was inside of the bag, so he placed it in his crotch.

David-Hossanah objected to bail and Thomas was remanded until April 22.
