Williamsburg businesswoman robbed of cash and jewels by gunmen

Police say that at about 1330h today, businesswoman Seema Nauth, 28 years, had just returned to her home at Williamsburg, Corentyne, when three masked men barged in through the open door.  Two of them were armed with handguns.

Police say that the perpetrators took away $498,000 and a quantity of jewellery and fled. During the robbery the victim pulled off the mask from one of the men, who was subsequently arrested at Rose Hall, Corentyne. The man is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
