President Donald Ramotar extended felicitations to Venezuela President-elect Nicolas Maduro and expressed hope that the two countries can continue to deepen bilateral relations.
According to a press release, Ramotar said he wished Maduro “every success” as he embarks on the mandate entrusted to him to consolidate existing economic and social policies for the sustained development of Venezuela and for the betterment of the people.
He also said he looked forward to working with Maduro to preserve the relations that Guyana and Venezuela have enjoyed in recent years.
