HERO conducts medical outreach at Victoria

The Victoria Community yesterday benefited from a free medical and surgical outreach programme conducted by the North American NGO, Health Education and Relief Organisation (HERO).

According to a press release from the People’s National Congress Reform, HERO donated a computer to the Victoria Nursery School in the name of a former student of the school and now member of HERO’s medical team, Dr Veronica Wilshire.

Dr Wilshire also facilitates a scholarship programme at the Victoria Primary School.

Head teacher of the Victoria Nursery School, Gaynel Herod expressed gratitude to HERO saying that the computer will benefit students and teachers at the school and ease burdens when documents are to be prepared.

According to the release, this donation is yet another contribution by HERO towards the development and welfare of Guyanese citizens, particularly our young students.
