Today, police say that the undermentioned persons were charged with murder committed on Alfred Munroe called ‘Guana Man’, of Manchester Village, Corentyne, on May 09, 2013, at Port Mourant, Corentyne.
Munroe and a female were allegedly beaten by the men at Port Mourant after being accused of breaking into a store at Port Mourant. Munroe subsequently succumbed.
They appeared before Magistrate Krishnadat Persaud at Whim Magistrate’s Court where they were remanded to prison until May 20, 2013. The five are:
1. Rudolph Samuels, 21 years, of Free Yard, Port Mourant, Corentyne.
2. Aris Cecil called ‘Safick’, 20 years, of Free Yard, Port Mourant, Corentyne.
3. Richard Griffith, called ‘Brick Head’, 18 years, of Free Yard, Port Mourant, Corentyne.
4. Michael Lewis called ‘Mikey’, 27 years, of Free Yard, Port Mourant, Corentyne
5. Jafar Seetaram, 19 years, of Rose Hall Town, Corentyne.
6. Khrishnaraj Jagdeo called ‘Chris’, 47 years, of Free Yard, Port Mourant, Corentyne.
