An East Canje mechanic appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court on Friday on a charge of carnal knowledge of a 13-year-old.
Ramlall Mclean 30, of Canefield, East Canje, appeared before Magistrate Roby Benn and the charge was read to him.
The charge read that “between the 1st and 31st of March 2011” it was alleged that he sexually penetrated a child, 13 years-old.
The man was placed on $100,000 bail after the prosecution did not object. The man was not required to plead. Mclean is expected to return to court on the 19 of July.
