Bids received for new section of St Agnes Primary

The construction of a $31.8M teaching block at the St Agnes Primary School should bring additional relief for students of the school who over the years had been in dispute with St Rose’s High with which they share a compound.

Bids for the project were on Tuesday opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) and saw tenders submitted by four companies.

both schools, an agreement was reached to construct six additional classes for the St. Agnes School.

The meeting was facilitated and chaired by Minister of Education, Priya Manickchand in the ministry’s boardroom. The Minister had told the meeting that the paramount consideration must be what is in the best interest of all the children.

There have been disputes in recent years between the two schools on how to use the building. Parents of children at St Agnes had also complained about frequent flooding at the school.

The companies and their respective bids for the project are illustrated below.
