The police say they are investigating the death of Chris Allicock,30 years, of Aruka River Mouth North West District, which occurred on Sunday October 06, 2013.
The police today said that investigations revealed that Allicock and Rawle Khan, 39 years, of Mabaruma Settlement were involved in an altercation on the above mentioned date when Khan picked up a brick and pelted Allicock in his lower back. Allicock was taken to the Mabaruma Hospital after experiencing pains in his back. He later died. Khan has been arrested and is assisting the police in their investigation.
A post-mortem examination was performed yesterday by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh on the body of Allicock. The cause of death has been determined as a ruptured spleen caused by a hard object.
