Republic Bank awards RightStart high flyers

Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited yesterday awarded its top five RightStart account holders for their excellence at this year’s, Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Examination.

During a simple ceremony held at the bank’s head office, Promenade Court. New Market Street, Akash Jairam, who attained 18 passes, Akeila Wilthire, with 17 passes, Cecil Cox, with 16 passes, Reshma Ramdahin, with 14 passes and Jubilante Cutting who had 12 passes each received a RightStart gift certificate,

valued $20,000 and a special Republic RightStart gift.

Speaking at the ceremony Celine Davis, Manager, Water Street Branch, relayed how proud Republic Bank was of their achievement. “… Indeed by your exceptional performance, you our distinguished awardees, have made us, your bankers, extremely proud and we commend you for a job well done.”

Davis further challenged them to not live as a result of others people’s thinking.

Also speaking at the ceremony was Rhonda Cameron, Statistic Supervisor, Finance and Planning.

She acknowledged their “…hard work, dedication and determination which allowed them to be among the top minds of our country.”
