Assistant Commissioner of Police Deryck Josiah died at about 15:30 hrs today at a private hospital.
According to a police press release, he is suspected to have suffered a heart attack.
Josiah, who was the commander of `A’ Division, had been involved in an accident early last month at Versailles, West Bank Demerara.
He had apparently been hospitalized since then.
