Neville Chandrawattie, one of the alleged masterminds of November’s multi-million dollar gold heist in Port Kaituma, was yesterday remanded to prison for involvement in the death of Dharam Chanmangra in 2007.

It is alleged that on Saturday April 21, 2007 Chandrawattie, along with others, planned a robbery during which Dharam Chanmangra was shot and killed. The accused and his alleged accomplices escaped. However, Claymont Williams and Sherwin Henry were charged with Chanmangra’s murder.
