Dear Editor,
As the late President Mr Nelson Mandela said,“If I cannot change when circumstances demand, how can I expect others to?” Despite the challenges the Mandela philosophy of leadership by example commanded the respect of those who fought with him.
The moral principles demonstrated by him in and out of prison gained the support he needed from the world to defeat human indignity in South Africa. He can win an election, but can he run a country, was acknowledged by Mandela to be a legitimate question.
As an advocate of human rights I take this opportunity to sympathize with the family of Mandela.
May his soul rest in peace
