Final for Beef Humphrey football set

Berbice Education Institute and the New Amsterdam Multilateral School will contest the final of the Beef Humphrey Memorial School Football Championship today at the All Saints Ground, New Amsterdam.

In yesterday’s semi finals, Berbice Education Institute defeated Berbice High School by a 1 nil margin. The lone goal was scored by Jason Drakes in the 20th minute.

In the second match New Amsterdam Multilateral defeated Vryman’s Erven 4-3 on penalty. The game ended one all in regulation time.

Neil Humphrey one of the coordinators of the tournament via telephone said six teams competed in the tournament which started on Monday. The other two teams are Tutorial High and Canje Secondary school.
