Retrieve Unknowns collects $250,000 prize in Mackeson Super 16

The Retrieve Unknowns were presented with the $250,000 first prize and winner’s trophy from the inaugural Mackeson Futsal Super-16 knock-out tournament, at a simple ceremony hosted at ANSA McAl’s Beterverwagting head office yesterday.

The tournament, which was staged in Linden, saw the winners defeating New Era Russians ($150,000) in the final while Top Class placed third and We-is-Di-Boss fourth. The third and fourth place finishers received $100,000 and $40,000, respectively.

Ryan Noel of the Retrieve Unknowns was adjudged the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Mackeson representative Jamal Douglas said that ANSA McAl is extremely happy about Linden’s response to the tournament and thanked the players for putting on a high level of play and for being disciplined throughout the competition.
